Business Need

SHI needed help ensuring an existing app, Looper, met stringent security and privacy guidelines, considering the sensitive nature of user data. SHI had a strong business driver to release Looper to the app stores in the shortest time possible and get this app in the hands of people who need it.

Concentrix Tigerspike began with an App Takeover of the existing Looper application and supporting systems, making recommendations to SHI on best practice.
Concentrix Tigerspike's primary focus points included removing the existing Python back-end and rewriting it in .Net Core 2.0. The team built a highly available, performant, and scalable AWS hosting environment while also making minor fixes to the front-end; which is built on the gaming engine, Unity.

'Be a Looper' was released to the App Store and Google Play in mid November 2017, just three months from starting the initial onboarding. In the first month of being live, Looper has been downloaded by individuals in over 55 countries across the globe.

'Be a Looper' is the first product SHI have released to market, now underpinning their entire mission statement as an organisation.
