Business Need

Recruit’s successful point of sale solution, AirREGI, launched in Japan in 2013. It is used daily by 200,000+ businesses worldwide. They were looking to launch an English version of AirREGI in America, but didn’t have first hand experience of the market or the audience, thereby making it challenging to construct the right user experience.

Recruit wanted to better understand payment and transaction workflows within QSRs (Quick Service Restaurants).

Referred by Apple, we lead a 10-week user-centered research study.

By observing, listening and experiencing the QSR work environment first-hand, Concentrix Tigerspike were able to identify the motivations, behaviors and needs of business managers, employees and customers. Combining these activities with usability testing, we were able to provide clear recommendations and an action plan to ensure AirREGI delivered the best possible user experience.

Key findings and recommendations from user research have helped to guide the vision and business strategy for AirREGI for iPad in the USA.
