Variety is one of the best parts about working at Tigerspike as you’ll gain experience across multiple industries that range from NGOs to Retail to Travel.  Working closely with our clients, you will have the opportunity to work at varying stages of a product’s lifecycle on both consumer and enterprise solutions on different platforms.

Some of the things you’ll do:

  • You will be responsible and accountable for the side of the product the users see and feel— the user interface
  • You will be responsible for the interaction design and user interface animations
  • Work in close collaboration with UX Designers, Business Analysts and Engineers, you will turn solution ideas into tangible deliverables
  • Make design decisions using  in-depth research, paper prototyping, guerrilla usability testing, and any other technique you feel is appropriate for the project 
  • You will advocate  the importance of research and validation to clients
  • Know when and how to push the visual design direction within the constraints of your projects
  • You will be the voice of good visual design and practices at Tigerspike, educating and influencing other disciplines

What experience and skills do you need?

  • At least 3 years of professional work experience as a User Interface Designer
  • The ability to effectively communicate using fundamental design principles of shapes, colours, texture and space
  • Great attention to detail, taming those pesky pixels to create beautiful solutions
  • A deep understanding of and appreciation of end users, their context, plus the medium and platforms you’re designing for
  • Experience interpreting brand guidelines, developing a visual design language, and the creation of design systems 
  • Self-motivation

It’s a bonus if you also have:

  • Worked in different projects that provide a wide range of services in an agency setting
  • Strong knowledge of design principles and colour theory
  • Experience designing for web as well as native applications, small screens and big screens
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Practised Gestalt Principles
