Technical Lead (Full Stack)


Tigerspike Melbourne is looking for a Technical Lead (Full Stack) reporting directly to our Head of Engineering. You'll work with a group of problem solvers who work collaboratively across Tigerspike projects and client accounts. You will

  •  Lead the conversation from the start, and throughout the full lifecycle of the project including guiding technical scoping, design and implementation
  • You’re confident in your skills, and can challenges a team to deliver with your collaborative and professional approach
  • As a Technical Lead, you write clean, reusable, maintainable, and readable code
  • You will drive the development of and be able to translate requirements into pragmatic solutions
  • You know what it takes to build for the future, and have a desire to iteratively improve yourself, and the operational aspects of the products you build
  • Work with UX & UI designers, researchers and other software engineers, to help shape, design and build digital products that help solve important business needs
  • You’re a great listener and communicate clearly
  • Your colleagues trust you and your integrity

  • You’re proactive and show perseverance because you’re motivated to get the best results

You have

  •  7 years of experience in full-stack development
  • An understanding of solution architecture choices and the trade offs involved in designing with them.
  • You have solid cloud engineering experience working with AWS or Azure.
  • Experience designing and implementing software solutions using as Node.JS or .Net/C#
  • Write code that follows SOLID principles and conventions and patterns relevant to full stack platforms
  • An understanding of practical steps that invovled in designing and implementing  secure systems and infrastructure.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices
  • Commercial experience with Continuous Integration and writing testable code
  • Knowledge of AGILE - Scrum or Kanban
  • Previous leadership experience, managing/mentoring and motivating others to improve
  • A curious mind that leads you to meet and collaborate with like minded people in your free time
  • A history of self improvement and growth in your technical and professional skills that changed your organisation
  • Bonus - Experience with mobile platforms (e.g. Android, iOS, React Native)
  • Bonus - Experience with modern frontend javascript especially React or Angular
