Office Assistant


Tigerspike is looking for a part-time Office Assistant (2 days a week) to provide a strong support system for the London team.  We’re looking for a do-er, not a talker, so you’ll have exceptional organisational skills and be the type of person who is not afraid to set big goals.

What’s the job?

Working alongside our other office managers and the Operations Manager you’ll be the face of the London office and the cultural ambassador, who ensures that the office runs like a well-oiled machine.

In addition to managing the day to day needs of the business, you’ll also be responsible for assisting other departments and with event planning as needed. As an inspirational member of the team, you will look for ways to continuously improve the way we work, driving standards and best practice.

What experience and skills do you need?

  • Strong communication, collaboration and organisational skills,
  • Familiar with Google suite and tools (Google Drive, docs, sheets, and slides etc.)
  • Confidence - with an ability to command a room and corral a team
  • A pragmatic and proactive self-starter
  • Experience with booking travel arrangements and managing a busy office environment
  • Ability to work with ambiguity 
  • Results-driven with a track record of going above and beyond

It’s a bonus if you also have:

  • Operations and administration experience
  • A background in events management or project management is strongly desired
  • Understanding of local & UK policies and laws related to running an office (e.g. Building Management, Fire Safety and Health & Safety)

What will you do?

  • Answer the phones and welcome new starters, clients, and guests
  • Maintain office appearance to a high/professional standard, including liaising with suppliers and contractors
  • Book travel arrangements and manage all office orders and supplies
  • Maintain and document efficient office/operations processes
  • Work closely with the Operations team to manage the office budget if required
  • Provide HR and Ops admin support (e.g. help to ensure successful new starter onboarding and leaver offboarding)
  • Support staff members in the office, ensuring a good employee experience
