Intern Software Engineer

Tigerspike London is now looking for an Intern Software Engineer with a passion for technology, who loves being involved in challenging and innovative work to help us create digital products across a range of industries. 

What’s the job?

This 6-month internship opportunity will provide the opportunity to work across all areas of our business and can turn into a permanent position for the right person. You'll spend time with the QA, Mobile, Web, Design, Commercial & Project team in order to get a deeper understanding of how we design & develop digital products.

You'll learn how to write clean, reusable, maintainable and readable code using different architectures as well as learning how other parts of the business work together. 

What experience/ skills do I need?

  • A strong curiosity and thirst for learning
  • Recent hands-on coding and software design experience
  • A knowledge of platform-specific coding conventions and patterns
  • Familiarity with platform tools for troubleshooting, debugging and optimising your code
  • Unit test familiarity
  • Knowledge of the Delivery Pipeline and exposure to a CI system is highly desirable

The clients we partner with range from boutique to multinational, whose users span from employees in your local supermarket to vulnerable young adults.

In recent projects, we created a Smart Cities platform using React and AWS's IoT products for SSE and also launched a pilot project for NIHR, the research arm of the NHS, which required AWS middleware and native Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) apps.
