What will I do?

As Senior UX Designer in a small, but growing team in New York, you’ll be expected to wear multiple hats spending your time split between project work and supporting proposals.

Reporting into the User Experience Lead, you will lead and/support the research and user experience design on projects, driving towards effective solutions for our clients. Stakeholder management and education in the value of design will be a key part of the position. You’ll partner with our clients across all phases of the experience design process ranging from Discovery, Design, Development and Deployment.

You will have the opportunity to work on projects across different verticals such as digital innovation for an airline,  creating enterprise design solutions for financial services and proof of concepts in the retail space.

You will work alongside and will act as a mentor to other designers and be responsible for all aspects of research and user experience design.

What experience/ skills do I need?

  • Extensive  experience  within the experience design field, preferably in a consulting or agency environment 
  • Deep knowledge of design principles for iOS, Android and Web solutions (including Responsive Design and native applications)
  • Strong client-facing presentation skills; confident ability to present to clients at all levels
  • A consultative mindset: Listening and understanding the client’s challenges, becoming their partner, advising and supporting them in driving successful outcomes
  • Strategic thinking with a solid understanding of research and user experience design methodologies and  best practices
  • Expertise in research and user experience design.  Focus on strategy and implementation (workshop facilitation, stakeholder interviews, user interviews, contextual inquiries, personas, user journey maps, competitive and market research, heuristic reviews, analytics, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction design etc.)
  • Demonstrate strong appreciation and knowledge of UX and fundamental design principles
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, Figma, Miro etc.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating approach, process and outcome for a full project from strategy to design implementation
