Associate Software Engineer



Associate Software Engineers at Tigerspike are expected to support, test and maintain software that supports Tigerspike's business goals. Associate Software Engineers should be able to implement small isolated systems without supervision and competently implement larger systems with some oversight.  Associate Software Engineers need to demonstrate good communication skills, be able to problem solve, be self-motivated, and be able to contribute to collaborative software projects.  In order to grow into Staff Engineers, Associate Software Engineers must show an openness to all manner of engineering assignments and should demonstrate an eagerness to and swiftness in learning and growing in technical expertise.


We looking for the person who has Employment rights(VISA) in Japan. 
Fluent English skills in speaking, writing, and reading. Japanese ability is better to have.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support application development efforts through the development and maintenance of tools, scripts, or ancillary project infrastructure
  • Contribute to the software design processes including participating in:
  • Whiteboard sessions
  • Prototyping
  • Quickly understand software designs and architectures for technical projects
  • Follow defined development best practices, including wiki contributions, code commenting and documentation, source control
  • Execute test plans (where necessary)
  • Develop software (with some oversight) by Swift or Kotlin, Android Java
  • Accurately implement application functionality from pre-vetted (by more senior engineers) wireframes and designs
  • Occasionally peer review colleagues code
  • Implement solutions within task effort estimates (as checked by more senior individuals)
