We’re on a quest to find a highly collaborative & pragmatic Head of Design who is as fascinated with design and technology as we are. 

Reporting into the General Manager, you’ll initially develop and guide Tigerspike Europe’s design offering whilst inspiring and growing a team of talented UX/UI individuals. You'll work with highly talented, cross-functional teams of passionate people in an informal, yet high energy environment.

You will be a crucial part of the local senior management team and your generalist skills are just as important as your specialist skills as you’ll be influencing all aspects of the business alongside your colleagues in the senior management team.

What will I do?

  • Working across the full design lifecycle (eg requirements gathering, research, user testing, service design, product strategy, user experience design, visual design, voice interface design etc), determine how Tigerspike can best help current and future clients
  • Configure (and build where needed) the team to deliver on the vision
  • Lead by example and inspire the team to be curious and courageous
  • Work with Tigerspike commercial and delivery teams to continually monitor and improve how we achieve goals and deliver projects
  • Inspire clients, turning their ideas into world-class experiences
  • Assist with pitches and requirements gathering workshops
  • Grow and nurture the UX/UI team so that it attracts, creates, and retains remarkable talent
  • Advocate user research on projects to ensure they are meeting the audience’s needs and promoting the client’s goals
  • Promote consistency and quality within processes and user experience across channels while remaining flexible and open to new ideas
  • Implement deliverable templates for re-use
  • Champion company-wide reusable processes
  • Define team goals and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure productive collaboration

What experience and skills do I need?

  • Extensive UX discipline knowledge
  • Experience leading successful design teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with expertise in providing rational decisions and a decisive direction
  • Experience leading creative pitch work and multiple digital projects – presenting ideas to senior client stakeholders and internal directors
  • A sense of entrepreneurship- you’re a self-starter and a leader who always asks “why”
  • Well versed in digital and user-centred design methodologies
  • Good understanding of multi-channel interactions and design principles
  • To conceive, sketch and iterate on a wide variety of interaction design projects
  • Proven experience designing web and mobile interfaces to the highest standard, with examples currently in the market
  • A strong understanding of user scenarios, user roles, personas, workflows and usability testing

It’s a bonus if you also have:

  • Developed a design strategy in an agency or consultancy environment in your previous position/s
  • A background in service design 
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
