Experience Design

Tigerspike Melbourne is looking for a Senior UX Designer reporting directly to the Director of Experience Design. You'll work with a group of problem solvers who work collaboratively across Tigerspike projects and client accounts. Concentrix Tigerspike Melbourne is currently based at 565 Bourke Street in a brand new snazzy office! We’re an inquisitive bunch with a strong feedback culture. You will

  • Lead the UX for client engagements and guide a project team of designers to create high-end, innovative UX solutions and experiences
  • Conduct and lead research including; heuristic analysis, competitive/market analysis, user/stakeholder interviews, analytics assessment and the creation of personas/user journeys
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking when it comes to design recommendations based on best practices, user research and usability discoveries and business value
  • Establish and lead the information architecture for complex content solutions
  • Establish and lead the creation of complex experience design solutions from user flows and UX concepts to detailed wireframes
  • Create and conduct usability testing, analysing results and extracting design recommendations
  • Recognise the importance of how data and analytics can inform design solutions
  • Present to clients and walk them through the experience design solution and our UX design process
  • Prepare and organise on-site and off-site UX design and discovery workshops to capture essential business and user requirements and insights
  • Have effective time management to meet deadlines (team and individual)
  • Review client presentations and deliverables to ensure the highest quality of work is showcased
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure that the design effort is on track and within the specified timeline
  • Work collaboratively with all disciplines throughout the entire lifecycle process to guarantee a holistic and seamless delivery
  • Play an important role in our experience design team, refining and evolving our UX design process, staying up-to-date on the latest design and technology trends
  • Be a mentor to junior designers, providing guidance and professional development direction when needed

You have

  • A portfolio with focus on entire project process, approaching problems and defining decisions, along with examples of work products and deliverables produced
  • 5+ years professional work within the experience design field, preferably from a consulting or agency background
  • 1+ years performing at a Senior UX Designer level
  • Experience leading design tracks and small project teams
  • Expertise in experience design processes and methodologies
  • Expertise planning and executing qualitative and quantitative research
  • Experience with usability testing and other unmoderated testing tools (eg. Loop11, Optimal Workshop etc)
  • Knowledge of contemporary design and development methodologies
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD and InVision
  • Deep knowledge of design principles for iOS, Android and Web solutions (including Responsive Design AND Native Applications)
  • Familiar with web development standards such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and AJAX
  • Client-facing skills including: ability presenting to clients at all levels; ability to tell the story and guide them through the design ideas and recommendations to provide an overall design solution
  • Passionate about solving complex problems and leading a small project team of designers through the lifecycle of a project
  • Experience working in a true AGILE environment - SCRUM/Kanban/LEAN
