Tigerspike Europe welcomes Amir Sheikh as new Head of Experience Design

September 2020

"Amir comes with an inherent 'well-roundedness' that can only be achieved through a hard slog of multiple positions in the design world. If there's nothing else that teaches you, it's that at director level, it's about creating an environment for people to flourish. So we're looking forward to Amir creating that environment locally."

Josh Haagsma, GM Europe

We’re very excited to announce that our European office has named Amir Sheikh as its new Head of Experience Design.

He will be leading our European design team, from London, and also fostering links with our other Heads of Design around the world to drive forward the Tigerspike mission of improving people’s lives through technology.

“It’s a great opportunity to bolster an already strong design-thinking foundation and how we deliver that service to our clients,”  Sheikh said prior to joining.

Amir has worked in various senior design management positions in digital advertising companies, branding and innovation consultancies and tech start-ups including; Sustainable Futures, Agency.com, Imagination, Radley Yeldar, forpeople and Proteus.  He has helped to win awards for global brands like British Airways and Sky whilst directing and supporting teams in an open and collaborative way.

“Amir was chosen for his calm, articulate demeanour that we feel will be critical to build consensus, both internally and externally and for his broad experience which we hope will help us build on our ability to provide valuable services to our clients, especially in the design domain” said GM of Europe, Josh Haagsma, “Meanwhile, he’ll join a team of specialist design leaders globally within Tigerspike to work with them to collate the very best practices globally to the benefit of our local clients as well as contributing his own skills to that team for our equivalent clients all over the world.”

Group Director of Transformation, Michal Hicks points out that “Through the years we’ve watched ambitious business leaders grow a deeper appreciation of Design and the role it’s played in successful customer-centric transformations.”

“For many, Tigerspike’s Design leaders have been by their side and when we met Amir, hearing his philosophy on growth strategies and innovation, it was clear that the high standards we keep for customers and partners in our European Operations are in great hands.”

When asked about his future at Tigerspike, Amir said:
“I want to make a positive impact by challenging and shaping the design work we do, inspiring the design team, and empowering others to do their best work.”
